The Yellow House Foundation

The Yellow House Foundation is a not-for-profit arts center based in Topanga, California. We offer artist residencies and art experiences.

Created and directed by artists Geoff and Sarah Seelinger, the Yellow House Foundation is part of an initiative that shares and celebrates artists, artistic reflections, and community.

The Yellow House was built as a Dancehall/Speakeasy in 1930 and is an ideal nexus for artists to gather, share, and develop work. The Yellow House has a rich history and spirit. The main house is a veritable cathedral with many windows, a towering open beam ceiling, and a massive stone fireplace. In its early days, it was a refuge for actors, artists, and musicians. Now, the Yellow House is home to the Seelinger family, a meeting hall, and host to art residencies.

Our residencies are available for all creative practices: visual arts, writing & and poetry, music, performance, and experiential immersive arts.

Join us for art experiences that explore art-making in the canyon and surrounding forest. We look forward to working with you.
